About This Role

The Vice President of Sales will lead the Sales function for Design Pickle - focused on designing, building, and scaling the strategy to sell our subscription-based platform of creative services to small and medium-sized businesses and marketing agencies. This role will build, coach, and lead a team of sales executives to positively impact revenue growth, responsible for the entire sales experience, including, but not limited to new business acquisition and expansion of current accounts.

On a daily basis, works closely with Marketing, Customer Success, Finance and Executive Leadership

Location: Design Pickle is a fully remote company with a Company Hub in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Specific to your role, we’re looking for individuals who have...

  • Passion for our purpose: To be the most helpful creative company in the world.
  • Minimum of eight years of leadership experience in B2B SaaS sales, ideally at the Vice President or Director level.
  • Proven results as an over-achieving SaaS sales leader. Solid track record in implementing operational improvements, such as hiring, training, and sales systems and processes.
  • Understanding of industry and customer trends with experience translating it to strategic sales success.
  • Direct involvement in implementing, adjusting, and maintaining creative compensation packages, including pay structure, bonuses, and non-monetary incentives.
  • Experience in making data-driven decisions when it comes to people, budgets, workforce, and sales decisions.
  • Understanding of sales best practices ensuring that Design Pickle is continually progressive and maintains our incredible company culture.
  • Experience working with Finance leadership to understand and evaluate sales performance for financial forecasting.
  • Good project management and communication skills. Our team works remotely, and we need to know you can manage your time effectively.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with great time management skills.

  • Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce or other CRM
  • Experience scaling high growth sales teams in a startup environment

Key Objectives and Responsibilities

  • Achieve growth targets by managing a team of inside sales professionals and the pipeline of key activities that lead to revenue generation.
  • Spearhead the buildout of a technology-led hybrid / inbound and outbound focused sales organization, utilizing data to help prioritize and optimize the team’s resources for scalable growth.
  • Provide regular updates to Executive leadership on team performance, activities, opportunities, and risks
  • Design and implement a strategic sales plan that expands Design Pickle’s customer base and ensures its strong market presence
  • Guide cross-departmental communication coordination as a sales leadership voice with team leaders, including Marketing, Customer Success, Product, and Finance
  • Ensure optimization of existing CRM tools and processes, recommend new sales technologies to drive scalable growth
  • Continuously improve your understanding of the market and competitive landscape
  • Determine characteristics of top performers for the organization. Partner with the People team to identify, recruit, hire and develop a team of high-performing sales professionals.
